English doesn’t “borrow” from other languages: it follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar and valuable vocabulary.
WELL, HERE IS WHY THAT QUOTE IS SO TRUE!
1. WHY DO WE CALL A BUILDING A BUILDING, IF IT’S ALREADY BUILT?
2. IF YOU REPLACE THE “W” IN WHERE, WHAT, AND WHEN WITH A “T”, YOU ANSWER THE QUESTION.
3. IF A VEGETARIAN EATS VEGETABLES, WHAT DOES A HUMANITARIAN EAT?
